I was in need of a new golf bag that would fit my all my clubs with individual full-length dividers, have great storage, and fit my golf pride cpx jumbo sized grips. Having bigger hands and being taller guy, all the standard size golf bags never fit what I want or need. I spent countless hours looking for a stand bag or cart bag that would check off what I needed. Generally, I never buy sight unseen - if I haven't seen the product in person. So, I went to all the major stores and mom & pop stores to see what they had to offer. Searched online and found a few that hit the mark but lacked one feature or another; or the color options were terrible and over the top, or the material looked and felt cheap for the price. Also, I watched a ton of reviews on YouTube and read what others said about similar bags and of Sunday Golf cart & stand bags. Finally, I decided to go with the Sunday Golf Big Rig Cart Bag!
Sunday Golf had a sale on the Big Rig Cart Bag (which was an additional bonus) and I loved all the color options they offered as well! My choice was the Big Rigs Burnt Orange color. Shipping was fast, they communicated amazingly all the stages of the purchase and shipping via email & text message. I've had the bag for about a week now and it's been to the driving range 4 times, on the back of golf cart and pushcart once each.
I transferred all my gear (13 clubs (5-9,PW,GW,ULW, 3 hybrids, driver and putter), rain gear, portable charger and other electronics, 2 dozen balls in the box, gloves, large tube of icy hot ointment, knee and elbow braces & wraps, water bottles, two 50 count packages of tees, driver tool, coin and divot tool, golf towel, shoes, snacks, and many other items) from my previous bag over to the Big Rig, added more items, and still had plenty of storage to spare!
Pros:
Easily accepts jumbo sized grips (doesn't get caught on the lip of the divider top), plenty of storage, full length individual dividers go down 95% (looks like there is a small 1-2" gap at the bottom of the divider and bottom of the bag but it didn't cause rubbing and handling issues), oversized quality zippers, storage is beyond plentiful, magnet on magnetic pouch is super strong, price point is amazing at $299, Frosty pouch was great (easily fit 2 standard size bottles of water, 6" sandwich, and freezer ice pack), fits on a golf cart no problem, fits on a push cart, the bags fabric material and lining is thicker than the competition, and the bag didn't tip over on flat ground (concrete, pavement, parking lot, rug, flat surfaces, and on range golf mat)!
Cons:
Front of rain hood is a bit short near the putter well and didn't cover the dividers completely (but I was able to secure the rain hood, and it covered the clubs as designed). Sunday Golf doesn't offer a double shoulder strap (hell, when you got to walk even a short distance with a loaded cart bag whether to the car, range, and before or after round, a single shoulder strap doesn't balance the weight and pressure it puts on the shoulders). It is a tight fit on a pushcart even with the flip up cart pass through but will fit a pushcart with elastic bands. I tried a Jumbo XL Grip, and it will fit going down tightly but will catch the lip divider when pulling the club out.
Advice:
Use a freezer Ice pack in the frosty pocket not ice cubes. Use one of the two utility loops on the left side of the bag to hang your towel and use the designed golf towel ring holder to hook your hydro flask or similar drink canteen to it for easy access. Do not use for Jumbo XL grips, only jumbo or smaller.
Overall, this is a very functional quality bag, and I highly recommend this cart stand bag to anyone! Especially to those with storage needs or have Jumbo grips! AAA+++
Hopefully in the future they design and sell a double shoulder strap for the Big Rig Cart Bag, I'll be purchasing it when they do!
