"Beyond expectations! I decided to switch to the Ranger from the Ryder for my stand bag (I also have the Big Rig for a cart bag). I loved the Ryder but the Ranger exceeded my expectations. Light to carry with outstanding storage in all the pockets. I love the bag material and really like the magnetic closure on the cool pocket. I really like the full length dividers. I highly recommend!"

Nicest bag I’ve ever owned!
The thought that went into everything is second to none.
-the 6 way divider should be industry standard. To have the top part of your bag in 2 dividers is amazing (if you’re like me and keep your driver, putter and fairways in there, ESPECIALLY with oversized putter grips,it’s perfect ). All full length dividers with adequate space in each and the structured top, you never feel like you are jamming your clubs in and out of it. It’s like having a 14 way divider but not looking like the tool that actually has a 14 way divider in his bag (he probably has iron covers too)
-the stand is perfect. I assume the legs are carbon which is a nice upgrade over aluminum or whatever is used usually (because at some point that metal gives a little and those legs are never the same again) but the way the legs kick out is phenomenal! It’s doesn’t matter if it’s loaded down or empty, they come flying out with a force that might take actually take a toddler out (that’s not a bad thing)! I assume this is what Sensei Kreese meant when he said “sweep the leg”
-the glove Velcro is big enough to hold
Multiple gloves, so if you’re grinding it out on the range and sweat thru one you can swap and dry the other out.
-the straps are much denser than most straps, it’s almost feels like really thick memory foam. Not hard but not this flimsy piece of foam that has become so popular,
That after a few round carrying it,
all you feel is the straps surrounded by fabric.its Just comfortable. Also the buckles and connectors are next level quality made of very sturdy composite material.
-the frosty pocket is a nice way for them to differentiate themselves by offering a cooler pocket for drinks or food, but the new magnetic opening is awesome and make it a perfect range finder pocket. I quit using the magnetic feature on my rangefinder to stick it to the golf cart pillar because I kept forgetting the damn thing after the round and I hate hanging the range finder holder dangling off the side of the bag, it’s so busy and it also reminds me of my grandmothers set of car keys to her old Chrysler Lebaron that had a key chain from each state she visited cluttering it up on it. BTW,The rangefinder industry sales have to be increasing because of that magnetic feature and the cart kids eBay sales too!
-the structure of the bag is solid too. It definitely holds up to anything to throw at it. On a pullcart as a carry bag or in your golf cart..In an industry effort to make bags so light, they have all gotten flimsy. I feel like they are made of balsa wood, peppermint sticks and tissue paper anymore. This sucker is sturdy!
-there is ample space for everything, as they say “a place for everything and everything in its place”. Although the quick grab elastic ball pocket on the side would be great if it had a drawstring toggle. It’s great for a 3-4 balls A little more security would make 2 sleeves a no brainer and you’d never need to use the big pocket for balls (just other random crap we keep in our golf bags.. like my grandmothers keys and the urn I keep her ashes in).
-also I opted for the Sling that attaches to the bag too, it’s a solid choice. Because no matter how a bag is designed, and this is best design I’ve seen so far, nobody has come up with a better way to organize all the everyday golf items (tees, divot tool, ball markers) than this thing. Other than put them in the big pocket. Because inevitably you’re going to use the 5 or 6 tees in the attached tee sleeve on the outside of the bag and good look getting thru that booby trap of tee spikes, divot fixer prongs and hosel adjustment tools without drawing blood.
In the end it’s the nicest bag I’ve ever owned! So just buy the damn bag!

Had an El Camino before this because I normally don’t carry a full set for my home course. I upgraded for more space since I’ve been traveling to new courses out of state lately.
Things I like:
- magnetic frosty pocket for sneaking a few twisted teas in is clutch. I can fit 2 tall boys and an ice pack in there.
- all the pockets are easily accessible even when strapped into the cart (except the apparel pocket but that’s not a huge deal)
- stand strap for when you’re not using the stand is awesome. (My Camino legs would flop around)
- build quality is exceptional, rip stop material and stitching is all a cut above my other bags in the past.
- 2 hang loops at the top. I like to hang my rangefinder, towel, a brush, and a clip for my score card on the loops, it’s nice to have extra space and separation
- very roomy for the clubs, they slide in and out super easy even with plus sized grips and I get a lot less chatter on the irons because of the grid spacing.
- Velcro spot is big enough to fit 2 gloves
- Huge ball pocket which is great if you like to shoot cannon balls into the water hazards like me.
Things that could be better:
- hip pad could have a little more cushion
- would love to see this in the vegan leather option.
All in all, S tier bag. Splurge a little.
I ADORE this bag. It's lightweight, looks great, has a ton of fantastic features and functions. My ONLY complaint is that I wish it had a dedicated putter well. The way it's laid out makes it hard for me to fit a blade without it taking up an entire slot. Ranger 7-way one day? Maybe? Regardless, love the bag and highly recommend it!
The Ranger | Black Premium Stand Bag
Got to say... I really do love this bag. The organizational features are fantastic, especially the way the six top dividers work. At first I felt I was missing a pocket as it has one less than my previous bag, but the way the pockets themselves are arranged and the sub pockets within help to ease the anxiety.
The one ding I have to give, the bag/legs seems to slide back a bit on hard surfaces. Not drastically so, but enough that I wish the bag was immediately "locked" into position without a slide back.
Other than that. I really love this bag!!
This is a great all rounder for both cart and carry. It is a little smaller than most hybrid bags, so you can exclusively carry it without any worries.
Things I like the most:
-Looks sleek, and the materials are high quality
-6 way rubber top with with full length dividers
-super stable carbon legs and base
-expandable apparel pocket
-cart strap pass through.
Things to improve
-the open sleeve on top of the apparel pocket would be better as a corner zipper glove compartment. You can easily put gloves and their plastic envelopes inside the apparel pocket, but dedicated glove storage is a more useful feature than an open sleeve for me
-the frosty pocket when in full use takes up a lot of room in the ball pocket. I would prefer a smaller frosty sleeve for only 2 cans on the side of the ball pocket and convert this magnetic one to a range finder/flex pocket
-a range finder buckle loop would be nice for more flexibility also
-elastic 2-ball sleeve above the magnetic pocket would be handy
-the accessories pocket on the hip side is a little tight. A little more room is needed
-the rain hood should have a dedicated storage spot. Folding it under the hip pad like a hoofer seems like the perfect solution
-Sunday Golf normally offers very good value, but the entire Ranger line seems way over priced. I would not have purchased without a discount offer
-more color options are needed
My dislikes are entirely subjective. I haven’t noticed any issues with material or construction quality so far. It was worth the wait
CARRY LESS. ENJOY MORE.
